In Europe we give the united dictatorship of North America, formerly known as the USA, up as a holiday destination. We welcome all those who want to seek political asylum on our beautiful continent. Please immediately learn to speak the local language and learn the sentence; ‘I needed to flee my homeland for political reasons. Thank you for keeping me safe here.

MAGA tourists ARE NOT WELCOME! In fact people who identify as Americans will not be treated kindly at all.

This rings as true as anything I’ve read in the past couple of months. Putin knows he can’t confront us head on, hence the evilly brilliant strategy of sapping our strength from within and relying, paradoxically, on the comforts of the American way of life.

We look around at the urbanscape and see the unfortunate people with no shelter and think, “ Sure glad that’s not me.” And anything that could pout us in that trajectory is to be avoided. I know, I’ve felt that sense of impending loss potential.

But at some point we will likely have to risk it all, en masse.

Elie Wiesel’s writing remains as a light shining on hope, keeping it alive so that we will not be silent or fail to express a rage that is just, honorable, and necessary to stand up for all that is right! “Where is the place of rage in all that? How come that the Jewish people, when we discovered the magnitude of cruelty and the consequences of hatred, how come that we were not possessed by a[n] extraordinary, implacable rage -- rage of the killers; rage toward those who inspired the killers; rage towards the indifferent -- those who knew and were silent? Where is rage?”

It's class warfare people. Those with the gold are trying to rewrite the rules.

I feel most sorry for those caught in the cult of Trump. The MAGA poor and middle class have been duped and played. When they realize it, they will be left in utter despair and very pissed off.

I'm thinking about the regular americans who succumbed to the propaganda from Fox News, X, Facebook and the ever increasing media sources that serve the Oligarchs. These Americans are literally brain washed over the years. They have been corrupted to think that free speech, liberty, justice, equality and self determination are vestiges of an "evil wokeness" that has already ruined America. The strange belief that American freedom must be defeated to make America great again, - feels like an Orwellian cult doesn't it?

MAGAs are so aggrieved that they gave away their free thinking to be part of a tribe, that blames "the other" for their lot in life. They are bound by grievance, attracted to the promise of a return to the "good old days" that were never that great, to "stop the evil immigrants" that don't really exist, and to "Own the Libs" because freedom and equality is only for the MAGA tribe.

This theatre, of course, is largely contrived to obscure the intent of the Oligarchs, to make their aggression unclear, to obfuscate the class warfare that is being waged against the middle class.

The greedy and most wealthy people of all time, are attacking you and I, and they want more. The Plutocrats don't care about the people, they worship power, profits, and tax cuts above all things. They have taken the government. The only obstacle in the way is the educated middle class of America. We the people stand in the way. Make no mistake -they plan to break us.

Those with the gold are trying to rewrite the rules. It's outright class warfare. Rich Oligarcs, rich corporations, corrupt billionaires are united behind President Orange. They are speedily working to solidify total control of american government. Corruption and lawlessness is on the march. They will do anything to increase their collective power and wealth.

These filthy rich assholes will not succeed -because we are bad ass FREE Americans. Give me liberty or give me death!

The rich will have no place to hide.

Pitchforks and knives out... let's give the greedy rich aggressors no peace, no place to hide. We can picket, boycott, protest, petition, work stoppages, and civil disobedience. Start by deleting the corrupt lying media platforms, boycott the trump aligned corporations, participate in the Tesla Takedown, write bad reviews, deleterious blog posts, call into conservative radio, and most of all disobey everything Trump says - starting with he wants us to be afraid.

No fear. Land of the free, home of the brave!

They want to fuck us, well fuck them. Get your American solidarity on people. It's time to show up. Do what you can from where you are.. now.

I think the richer people are the less likely they are to do anything. We have already seen that in action.

Reaching peak chaos in the USA and the world. Siding with Russia finally exposed. MSM not doing their job.

USA is now gone. Court orders ignored. Destruction of beaurocracy. Turning on its citizens. Destruction of norms and ignoring laws. Congress bypassed. Etc

The world is heading for a long period of turmoil. Ukraine and Europe thrown to Russia. Israeli aggression sustained. China readying to take Tawain and expand BRI. Economic turmoil as faith in the dollar as global reserve currency disappears. Etc

I know lets write to congress. I know lets do some mass protest. I know lets wail and cry out for advice on what we can do. Etc

Where is congress' courage to impeach. Where is the military marching in to arrest this circus. Where are the leaders. I fear it is too late.

Watching with concern from Australia as we head into an election and our right being emboldened by these events.

If I watch my usual TV news, PBS and BBC, I get the same sense of 'business as usual' that I always get... And that is so much worse than if everyone was revolting, resisting, rebelling, or panicking. We are being attacked but don't seem to be responding accordingly! Too comfortable? Too lazy? Too desensitized? Too busy? Too overwhelmed? All of the above? Maybe the Xanax is working too well.

historically two groups that have lead successful

movements are young people and labor. these groups need to be rallied and take to the streets. we need endless, HUGE protests. we need general strikes. we need to shut down cities, capitals, government buildings, and centers of finance. we need to go after the heart of all this, the thing that drives these oligarchs: their money, and their power. we’re well past the time that calling our reps or waiting for the next election can save us. this is the real deal. we’re in the endgame now.

also we, especially the Left, are severely lacking in coalitions and leadership to create the call to arms we so desperately need right now. there are plenty of small groups, but there is nothing that constitutes a real, large scale, unified movement. i know the left loves infighting, but we truly need to look past our small differences and unite on these bigger and more pertinent issues at hand.

So tell us EXACTLY what we can do - specifics, other than not spending money, calling our reps and senators (who don't care,) attend a protest ? WHAT can we do when the DEMs in Congress apparently are unable to do anything about this?

What we need to do is take to the streets in the millions and grind this country to a halt. We have the power here not them. It's really disheartening to see the flacid reaction to an unelected foreigner taking over our government, but I believe that there will be a catalyst that will spurr people to action. Perhaps it will be once grandma's social security check stops coming, or when Grandpa gets booted out of his care home. So, what can you do? Prepare. When the people hit the streets be ready to join them.

“Cheering from the sidelines,” That’s what you appear to be doing. I read your piece expecting to read about the sacrifices you and your family are making to combat the rise of American nazism. An example for others to follow. Sadly no! But that’s the problem. No leadership!
