As some of you already know, I am a regular columnist for The Daily Beast and periodically write for other publications. I’ll include links to some of what I write here at “Need to Know.”
Here’s a piece I did today for the Daily Beast about the implications of Trump’s trip to Capitol Hill today.

I’ll also do a weekly round up of particularly good podcast content from The DSR Network. Here are two good ones from this week already:
Here’s one from our politics podcast with Simon Rosenberg and Tara McGowan:

Here’s one from our main podcast, Deep State Radio, on Ukraine with Amb. Ivo Daalder, Dr. Kori Schake and Nate Mook:

Here’s one from a special podcast we did on a new book about the Middle East with Steven Cook of the Council on Foreign Relations:

I won’t overload you. But I think these are worthy of your attention.
Also: This week, my first on the site…forgive me, I am learning the ropes…all my posts will be available to everyone. Starting next week, I will move to the regular schedule in which Monday, Wednesday and Friday posts will be available to everyone and Tuesday, Thursday (and sometimes Saturday) posts will be available only to paying subscribers. If you’re not a paying subscriber, I hope you will consider becoming one as I am sure that content will be of value to you.
Good morning, David! I have a very hard time finding the original DSR podcast that you do with Kori, Rosa et al because all the DSR podcasts have the same logo and because your original one lacks usually a title. Can you guys find a way to “mark” your podcast with a title of sorts, like calling it “The Original” or something like that? Thanks!
Count on it, David. You know I almost wrote “Thank you, sir” but the immediate nauseous feeling that came over me reminded me of the oft referenced “sir stories” he tells so I I decided to go with the familiar. I know you get it. Have a delightful night b
