And Other Reasons to be Optimistic...

Is it election day yet?

I know, I know. We have over five weeks to go. And then we will have a bunch more weeks of chaos, law suits, recriminations, and you know, possible civil war to contend with before we have the final results of the election.

Still, I remain optimistic. Why? Well, for one thing, as I explained the other day, in my mind, this establishment is a beachfront shack somewhere in the Caribbean or the South Pacific and the weather is always great and the I’m losing a ton of weight eating fresh fish and fruit every day.

But here are some other reasons to remain optimistic:

• The trend lines in the polls suggest Kamala Harris has an edge nationally and in the battle ground states.

• In recent years, polls have skewed a little GOP and if that continues, her edge is bigger.

• The underlying signs: registrations, fund-raising, volunteering, are all positive for Harris-Walz
