Harris Will Win in November By More Than You Think

Predictions are Hard, Especially About the Future...But Honestly, Not This One

It’s very late on debate night. I’ve just written a column on the debate for The Daily Beast which I will share on this site tomorrow morning so you can see my fuller views on what occurred. But for now, a few quick thoughts:

• The Vice President obliterated Trump. His loyalists may deny it. But trust me, they are hurting inside. So is he. Donald Trump was thoroughly outclassed in every possible respect by Kamala Harris and late tonight the consequences of what that means will start to sink in.

• That will make Trump furious and his tenor will grow ever more bitter and desperate.

• That’s hard to imagine given that during tonight’s performance we actually spent a substantial amount of time with him repeating the Big Lie, defending the January 6th insurrectionists, threatening that we are on the verge of World War III and warning of marauding bands of immigrants who will, if you are not careful, kidnap and eat your kitty cat. (They just grab ‘em. They let you do that if you’re an immigrant.)
